About the event
In early summer, as the sap rises through the tree, it is possible to easily peel away the once tight fibres of the bark from the inner wood. This provides a supple, almost leather like material it is possible to fold and sew into useful containers.
On this one day course we will learn how and when to peel willow bark, store it and prepare it. We will also make cordage handles for our bags.
Ticket price includes all materials, teas and coffees. Please bring a packed lunch or preorder lunch on the day of course from the on-site cafe.
